Signal House is a ten-story, trophy office building located in the Union Market District of Washington, DC, adjacent to Florida Avenue and less than a five-minute walk from the NOMA-Gallaudet Metro station. Designed by Gensler, this 228,000 square foot project pays tribute to its historically industrial surroundings with a truly unique terracotta, metal, and glass exterior. 

Signal House features some of the city’s tallest ceiling heights and widest column spacing. In addition, Signal House offers private terraces, a state-of-the-art fitness facility, below-grade parking, secure bike storage, 12,340 square feet of premium retail, and a penthouse boasting a DJ booth, recording studio, karaoke room, demonstration kitchen, bar, convertible meeting space, a mothering and wellness room, and breathtaking views of the Capitol. 

Situated in the heart of the Union Market District, Signal House neighbors dozens of restaurants, coffee shops, and bars. Located just one block from the property is La Cosecha, a contemporary market celebrating Latin American heritage, and Union Market, a modern culinary destination with over 40 vendors. In 2023, Signal House welcomed Stephen Starr‘s latest restaurant concept, El Presidente, to the ground level of the property. El Presidente is a festive neo-retro Mexican eatery specializing in raw delicacies, bright mezcal cocktails, and build-your-own tacos. The restaurant’s eclectic, interconnected dining rooms dazzle with color and offer a theatrical dining experience full of energy and pizazz.
